Can I come into Main Street Station without a train ticket?

Yes! Consider this your space. It’s not just a train station. It’s also a transit hub, and a great starting point for exploring Richmond.

What is there to do there?

Of course, you can catch an Amtrak train here. But you can also come here and make this your basecamp for a Richmond adventure. Talk to the people at the Virginia Welcome Center, and make a plan. Rent a bike here and jump on the Capital Trail. There are also a lot of events going on here, especially in the Shed.

What are the hours at Main Street Station?

Our hours are
Monday – Thursday 8 a.m. – 7 p.m.
Friday 8 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.
Saturday & Sunday 8 a.m. – 8:30 p.m.

How often does the train come?

Can I have my wedding here?

Yes! Main Street Station has quickly become one of the most sought after venues in the region. For information on weddings, meetings and events large and small, click here.

Where can I park?

Parking is available in several lots — across the street from Main Street Station, and in a smaller lot to the right of the station. There are also several public parking lots nearby. Click here for a map.

Is Main Street Station wheelchair friendly?

All are welcome here. We comply with all ADA standards, with elevators, ramps and other accessibility features in place throughout the station.
